Here at Lains Barn, we’re passionate about food. That’s why we work exclusively with Barton House Events, named after the 12-acre estate which sits a stone’s throw from the barn. Our menus are crafted with seasonality in mind, so you can expect fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, cooked to perfection.

Executive Chef

Our catering team is led by executive chef Tom Sherry. Tom forged his culinary skills in Michelin-rated kitchens and among some of the country’s very best event caterers. His food has been enjoyed by celebrities, executives and leaders from across the world, in settings ranging from intimate private dining to prestigious public events.

Tom brings his experience and flair to every meal served at Lains, whether preparing a traditional banquet in our five star-rated formal kitchen or firing up the pizza oven and Argentinian grills for an evening under the stars. We’ve curated our menus with variety in mind, but we are happy to cater for any specific requirements – please just ask one of the team.

Bottoms Up

You and your guests will be adequately watered, too; our fully licensed and staffed bar is equipped with a range of ales, ciders, beers and spirits provided by Arkell’s brewery, while our wine cellar is stocked with the best wines and champagnes.

It's all included

We don’t believe in hidden costs at Lains Barn. Prices include everything from the chefs and waiting staff right down to the cutlery and table linen, so there are no unpleasant surprises on the day. The only exception to this is food tastings, tastings are not included in our prices so that if you already have your heart set on one of our menu options, you won’t end up paying for something you don’t use.

The Pie Master

A fun way to cater for your guests. You choose one guest from each table to be the Pie Master, the chosen guest then serves the pie to the fellow guests seated at the table. Please choose one pie from our selection below and two of those pies will be delivered to each table for the pie master to serve to the guests. All special dietary requirements can be catered for separately.
