This enchanting space is framed by a beautiful, vaulted ceiling, timber beams and a unique wooden block floor, with large barn doors opening out onto the manicured green and adjoining terrace.

Accommodating 170 seated guests on banquet-style tables, Lains’ main hall is perfect for both the ceremony and subsequent banqueting. Once the final course is enjoyed, this beautiful room is transformed into a dancefloor that up to 200 can enjoy– with space for a DJ or live band, your choice – complete with seating and booths for party pit stops.

Our beautifully manicured green is the perfect place for you and your guests to play a lawn game or two – or simply relax with a glass of bubbles.

Next to the green is our paved terrace, which comes alive at cocktail hour. It’s also ideally placed for a champagne reception (and a heel-friendly option for those who want to avoid sinking into grass!).

Good things come in small packages, and this couldn’t be truer of our secret bride’s room. This bijou hideaway, furnished with a dressing table and mirrors, is perfect for those all-important makeup touch-ups – or simply as a serene spot to gather with your bridal party before embarking on the walk down the aisle.

Walk through the barn doors and out onto the covered byre, where you’ll find our traditional pizza oven and parrilla grills. This is where evening pizzas and grilled snacks are fired up, whilst guests look on. Nothing beats our wood-fired pizzas – the ideal sustenance before returning to the dancefloor!

Adjacent to the main hall is our sweeping, custom-designed (and very well-stocked) bar – a contemporary addition that, expertly rendered in stunning solid oak, feels like a natural extension of the listed barn itself. Working with Arkell’s Brewery, our bar is always stocked with your favourite tipple, be it a local ale, fine wine or cocktail.

Lains has an abundance of original features, namely our beautiful grain store – which is where the harvested grain used to be kept (Lains was originally used for corn). Standing proud upon four sizable saddle stones, this unique feature makes for a charming photo backdrop – and the ideal spot to enjoy some alone time as newlyweds, away from the hubbub of the wedding party.

Lains is never more magical than when soundtracked by your favourite tunes. That’s why we invested in a brand-new, state-of-the-art Sonos sound system, fitted throughout the venue, inside and outside. We don’t have noise restrictions so you can turn the volume up and enjoy the music.
